Steel for glass lining is characterized by special processes, allowing a rigorous control of their chemical composition and microstructural characteristics; this ensures its ability to withstand the stresses induced by the glass lining process and maintain a good surface appearance, reducing gaseous emissions during glass lining firing and ensuring perfect glass lining adhesion.
Grades DC01EK, DC04EK and DC06EK are suitable for glass lining with one or two layers; grades DC04EK and DC06EK are especially suitable for deep molding.
DC03ED, DC04ED and DC06ED grades are mainly suitable for direct glass lining, as they have high decarburization. The carbon content should be at most 0.004%; DC04ED and DC06ED grades are more suitable for deep molding
