Cold-rolled flat products, of steel with a low carbon content for deep drawing or cold bending.

Characteristics

These steels are characterized by their strength and guaranteed minimum breaking and elongation. They are ranked in ascending order of formability and can therefore be used in various cold working, from less critical mouldings (DC01) to the most deep drawing (DD05 and DC06). They are produced in annealing or continuous annealing and can be supplied with different surface aspect, surface finish and surface protection requirements.

The surface appearance can be either A or B, unless otherwise requested at the time of the order, the material comes with aspect A.

SURFACE ASPECT

A

Defects such as pores, read scratches, small mars, slight scratches or slight coloring, which do not adversely affect the formability or the application of surface coatings are allowed.

B

This surface has the best aspect and must be free of defects which may affect the uniformity of high quality painting or electrolyte coating, and the other surface must be at least of type A

The surface finish can be bright, semi bright, normal or rough. In the absence of specifications when ordering, products are supplied with normal surface.

For surface protection, the material is typically supplied oiled; on request, it is possible to provide products without oiling, but in this case you must take into account a much higher risk of rust.

Unless otherwise agreed, qualities DC01, DC03, DC04 and DC05 can be supplied as alloy steel (eg as B or Ti). In the case of DC06 Ti can be replaced by Nb.
